fends off biting dog and allegedly attacked by elderly owner
Thursday May 3, 2001 A Dutch man who tried to fend off a dog that was biting him was then allegedly attacked by its knife-wielding 75-year-old owner. The man from Drachten was bitten on the leg and suffered knife wounds to his hand during the alleged attack on a beach. The 49-year-old victim was treated in hospital nearby. The dog's owner was arrested at his home. Officers confiscated a knife from the 75-year-old who spent the night in police custody.
