as starving dogs kill two
January 25, 2001 STRAY dogs starving in Arctic conditions in Russia's Far Eastern region have begun attacking people and have killed an eight-year-old boy and a 63-year-old homeless woman in the past six days, officials in Vladivostok said yesterday. Local authorities in outlying towns and villages have formed armed groups to shoot stray dogs.
