Boy bitten by lion in Romanian street Thursday 12th April 2001 An eight-year-old boy was attacked by a lion in Romania's second-biggest city. Ionut Chicus was bitten on his shoulder by the lion, which had escaped from a photographer who was offering the animal to tourists to have their picture taken with it. The lion was recaptured by police in Brasov, southern Transylvania. The boy is recovering in hospital.
