Python
attacks granny in bathroom
May 28, 2001 KUALA TERENGGANU - A 72-year-old grandmother had a lucky escape from a python in her bathroom on Saturday night. Ms Ngah Hitam had gone to the bathroom at her home in Kampung Seberang Tuan Chik when a python suddenly placed its jaws tightly around one of her feet and tried to drag her down a hole it had entered through. Fortunately, the hole was not big enough for the oversized grandmother. (cont'd)
The python finally gave up and loosened its grip. Ms Ngah suffered a huge bite on her foot and is now recovering at the Terengganu Hospital. Granddaughter Wan Aishah Ibrahim, 31, said it was the second time in six months that a python had entered their house. In December, a snake tried to coil around a cat and crush it. --Bernama Copyright @ 2000 Singapore Press Holdings. All rights reserved.
