A man-eating tigress has been shot dead in Nepal after killing seven people.

The animal's latest victim was a woman looking for firewood and cattle fodder near an inaccessible forest.

Hunters decided to kill the tiger instead of trying to capture it.

The tiger had escaped from the a National Park before terrorising three villages in a month, reports the Nepal News website.
