TOP SECRET ANIMAL ATTACK FILES
from Italy-News
PITBULL TERRIERS MAUL TWO FARMERS IN BRINDISI April 16, 2002 Two farmers from the San Pietro Vernotico district in Brindisi, 60-year-old Vincenzo Ramis and 62-year-old Salvatore Rizzello were working their fields when two pitbull terriers, which had escaped from a nearby villa, started to attack them, instantly killing one of the men. The other escaped and hid in a shed, but the two aggressive canines found him and lacerated him as well. Police officers started a chase and managed to trace down one of the dogs, which was killed. The other dog hid out in the woods and was eventually killed by a remote-controlled explosive device used by bomb disposal squads.
